So you want to find yourself a new rental home. In today’s market, it is not just the rents that are high, the inventory is short as well.  There is already a lot of competition in the market, so how do you step ahead in the game? Hire a leasing agent; you will find the search much easier and you have a better chance of finding the rental home you want. They can search rental homes for you that are suitable to both your lifestyle and budget, saving both your time and efforts.

A survey was conducted that had a sample size comprising of renters, who resided in different parts of the country. Nearly 43% of them used a leasing agent when searching for their rental homes or apartments. They provided reasons that led them to hiring a leasing agent.  According to the responses, the following reasons took the top three places on the list.

You want a rental unit in a place far away

Are you planning to relocate to some other region? Many people are doing this, primarily because of their jobs. From the analysis, nearly 73% used a leasing agent because of this. Searching for a rental unit is difficult in itself, and when you have to conduct this search in an area where you do not even live, it becomes all the more difficult.

You are always short of time

Is your schedule always filled up with work? If so, you will hardly have time to take time off and focus on searching the listings. Nearly 53% of the respondents found this to be a factor that was significantly affecting their search. If you are among these, hire a leasing agent. If you can find a really good one, the process becomes very easy.

A rental agent can show you around the unit quickly and may help you in getting a better deal by negotiating the terms on your behalf.

You want a deeper insight

Every neighborhood is different and has its own nuances.  A leasing agent is already aware of valuable neighborhoods and the pros and cons associated with each.  Moreover, they also have an idea about the landlords in the area. Take advice from them, and then act on it.
If any of the above is true in your case, you should hire a leasing agent and simplify your task of finding the perfect rental home.
